There are three parts to rice. First, the husk (or hull) is the hard non-edible protective outer cover. The second layer is the Bran, which consists of bran and germ and is brown in color and holds the majority nutrition of rice, lasty is the white rice kernel. During the milling process, the husk is removed, and the rice bran is polished and separated from the rice kernel. Minimally processed, the rice bran is then captured and goes through stabilization technology to stop free fatty acids from oxidizing, prolonging the shelf life of the rice bran for one year.
