WHAT IS RICE BRAN?

There are three parts to rice. First, the husk (or hull) is the hard non-edible protective outer cover. The second layer is the Bran, which consists of bran and germ and is brown in color and holds the majority nutrition of rice, lasty is the white rice kernel. During the milling process, the husk is removed, and the rice bran is polished and separated from the rice kernel. Minimally processed, the rice bran is then captured and goes through stabilization technology to stop free fatty acids from oxidizing, prolonging the shelf life of the rice bran for one year.
The bran and germ components of rice are nutritionally dense with an extensive, complex of micro and macronutrients, strong amino acid profile, and powerhouse of antioxidants that help fight oxidative stress and free radicals.

STABILIZED RICE BRAN

WHAT IS A RICE BRAN DERIVATIVE?

After the bran has been stabilized, it is then introduced to an enzyme wash. This hydrolyzing and drying helps to extract certain functional food properties to use rice bran in many applications. The most important thing during this process is that the SRB becomes a ready-to-eat (RTE) product.
StabilMax has the same nutritional profile as SRB but is now sweeter, and is ready-to-eat with an increase 18 month shelf life. With one step further we take the StabilMax and put this ingredient into centrifuge. StabilSolo is processed the protein and fiber stay together and the fat and oil separate.
